We appreciate you choosing us to take care of an important member of your family while you are away. The following policies are in place to insure your pet is in a safe, disease free environment.
Our clinic requires that all boarding pets be within 1 year of vaccinations: [Canines: (DHL4PP) Distemper, Parvovirus, Rabies, and Bordetella] [Felines: (FRCPC) Upper Respiratory Viruses and Rabies]. Your pet must be free of internal and external parasites. If they are not, treatment will be administered at the expense of the owner.
All dogs are walked 4 times a day. They are taken out individually and put into separate runs. All cats receive litter pans and they are cleaned as needed through out the day. Fresh water will be available to your pet at all times. Your pet’s quarters are cleaned and sanitized at least once per day. We will be happy to administer routine medications to your pet at no additional charge, but we ask that you bring written instructions and have all medications in a container with your pet's name on it.
We feed Science Diet food. If your pet does not eat Science diet, we ask that you bring your pet’s food. If you bring your pet’s food, please place it in a sack or container with your pet’s name on it and all necessary instructions. If your pet requires a special diet or feeding instructions, please alert the receptionist of this information. If you require the use of canned food and you do not bring it, it can be provided to your pet at the regular cost of the food.
If you choose to bring your pet’s own bedding, it must be easily identified with your pet’s name and it must be easy to launder. We may discourage certain types of bedding as they may be too bulky to launder or easily ruined if soiled. We are not responsible for any personal items left with your pet.

Pick up for After Hours, Weekends, or Holidays
The clinic is open from 8am until 5pm Monday through Friday and from 8am until 12pm on Saturday, except for some holidays. You may pick up your pet at any time during normal business hours.
To pick up your pet after 5pm on weekdays, after noon on Saturdays, on Sundays or holidays, please follow these instructions:
Call our clinic at 501-362-2800 and leave a message stating your name, your pet’s name and a phone number where you can be reached. Your call will be returned by a Patchell Veterinary Clinic employee. This individual will give you a pick up time for you to come and get your pet. Please, as a courtesy to our employees and boarders, DO NOT come to the clinic and wait in the parking lot. DO NOT come to the clinic until your phone call has been returned. AS A SAFETY PERCAUTION, employees are instructed only to unlock the doors for clients that have received a call back. New employees do not always know our clients by sight.
Calls are returned within the hours our employees are scheduled to work. Those ours are: Saturday 5pm until 9pm. Sundays and holidays 7am until 11am and 5pm until 9pm.
Payment is expected at the time of release
We appreciate your understanding in this matter and hope we will be able to continue this beneficial service with everyone’s cooperation.
